Chad Johnson: I could make any NFL team 'if given the opportunity'

Even at the age of 43, Chad Johnson believes he still has a shot at playing in the NFL.

The former wide receiver, who has been out of the NFL since 2012, told Kevin Clarke of The Ringer's "Slow News Day" that he's still in top shape and is confident he could make a roster.

"I don't think they would do it for the simple fact that they know I'm in tiptop shape and would probably make the team," Johnson said. "And I'm not trying to be arrogant. I'm not trying to be cocky. I could make all 32 teams if given the opportunity. Easily.

"Nothing has changed. Same size. Speed might have decreased a little bit. I've never been hurt before. I haven't stopped moving, stopped being active since I haven't played. I've been playing soccer. Put me in the right situation and damn right I'd make the team."

One way Johnson stays active is by trying his hand at boxing. He'll make his debut Sunday against Brian Maxwell on the undercard of the Floyd Mayweather-Logan Paul exhibition match at Hard Rock Stadium in Miami Gardens, Florida.
