The New York Giants made a trade with the Denver Broncos to move up and select cornerback Aaron Robinson out of UCF in the third round of the 2021 NFL Draft, 71st overall.

The Giants sent picks No. 76 and No. 164 to Denver to land Robinson.

Robinson will add depth and versatility to a Giants cornerback depth chart that also features James Bradberry and Adoree' Jackson.

The former Knights star racked up 98 tackles, 16 pass breakups, and one interception during three seasons at UCF.

Key stats: 41 tackles, 6 passes defended, 1 forced fumble

One of the more fascinating prospects in this year's class, Robinson's skill set could lead to high-end versatility. Despite offering a good blend of size and speed, the UCF product played the majority of his college snaps in the slot. That's primarily because his instincts are off the charts - he's quick to recognize and react to routes. Robinson's ball skills leave something to be desired and his overall level of play in man coverage dipped in 2020, but he offers potential as a cornerback who plays on the perimeter in base defenses before moving inside on passing downs.
