Tampa Bay Buccaneers tight end O.J. Howard will be placed on injured reserve with foot and ankle injuries, the team confirmed Tuesday.

Howard will miss the remainder of the year.

The 24-year-old recorded 34 catches for 565 yards and five touchdowns in 10 games this season.

It's a tough loss for the Buccaneers as the 2017 first-round pick was coming into his own.

Cameron Brate will likely see increased targets in Howard's absence.
