Dallas Cowboys pass-rusher Demarcus Lawrence claims he's been playing with a torn labrum in his shoulder for two years, according to Brandon George of the Dallas Morning News.
Lawrence was listed on this week's injury report after his shoulder popped out of its socket in the Cowboys' Week 5 loss to the Houston Texans.
"This is the first time it popped out on me," Lawrence said. "I was about to cry on the sidelines if y'all didn't notice. It was hurting bad. It feels better now.
"It's been torn two years ago and you never knew it, right? I'll work through it like any other injury."
The Pro Bowler added that he'll consider having surgery to repair the tear this offseason.
"Strap it up and see how it feels before the game, if it's not able to go, I won't go," Lawrence said. "But if I'm able to go, I'll be out there. It's holding up for the most part."
To keep his shoulder in place, Lawrence has been wearing a harness under his uniform in practice this week. He'll likely wear that harness when the Cowboys take on the Jacksonville Jaguars this Sunday.
In five games this season, Lawrence has 5.5 sacks, 21 combined tackles, and nine quarterback hits.
