Houston Texans quarterback Tom Savage made his first public remarks since Sunday's game against the San Francisco 49ers when he appeared to be knocked into a seizure but almost immediately returned to the game, before exiting with a concussion.
Savage wanted to make it clear that head coach Bill O'Brien, who said he wouldn't have let the quarterback return had he seen the video of the hit, was not at fault for allowing him to re-enter the contest.
The NFL is reportedly reviewing the handling of Savage's concussion protocol from the game. Savage is not expected to play this Sunday against the Jacksonville Jaguars, who notched ten sacks against Houston in the season opener. If he is still in concussion protocol, T.J. Yates will get the start.
