Denver Broncos quarterback Trevor Siemian was ruled out of Thursday's game against the Indianapolis Colts due to a left shoulder injury, according to the team.

He suffered the injury when he was sacked on third down during the Broncos' second drive of the game and was carted to the locker room. He threw an interception to Colts cornerback Kenny Moore on the team's first possession.

X-rays taken at the stadium came back negative, according to Nicki Jhabvala of The Denver Post. Siemian will undergo an MRI on Friday.

Backup quarterback Brock Osweiler replaced Siemian with the Broncos trailing 7-0. With Paxton Lynch inactive, second-year wide receiver Jordan Taylor is the team's emergency quarterback, according to the broadcast.

The interception was Siemian's 14th of the season in just 11 games played.

Osweiler entered on the third possession of the game with 62 completions for 701 yards, three touchdowns, and four interceptions on 117 attempts through four games.
