Report: Ingram expected to play vs. Falcons
New Orleans Saints running back Mark Ingram is expected to play in Thursday's NFC South showdown with the Atlanta Falcons despite nursing a toe injury, ESPN's Adam Schefter reports.
Ingram was listed as questionable for the midweek game and was expected to be a game-day decision.
The Saints enter Thursday's game with a one-game division lead over the Carolina Panthers and a two-win cushion over the Falcons. The Saints can clinch a playoff berth with a win and a number of other results on Sunday.
Ingram enters the contest as the league's fourth-leading rusher with 922 yards on the ground and nine rushing scores.
In the midst of a career year, Ingram could reportedly trigger an incentive in his contract that would make him a free agent if he's named a first-team All-Pro in January.
