Philadelphia Eagles defensive end Chris Long has a base salary of $1 million this season, but won't be pocketing any of it, instead opting to donate the money to educational organizations.

Long joined "The Ellen Show" on Friday to talk about the inspiration behind his charitable efforts, explaining that while he enjoys playing football, he doesn't "get the fulfillment out of that alone."

Host Ellen Degeneres also announced that she and Cheerios will be donating $30,000 to Long's Pledge 10 for Tomorrow campaign.
