Suh says grabbing Mallett's neck was self-defense: 'He tried to attack me'
Kiko Alonso's late hit on Joe Flacco was the main talking point from Thursday's game, but it wasn't the only notable incident between a Miami Dolphins defender and a Baltimore Ravens quarterback.
In the fourth quarter, Ndamukong Suh grabbed Ryan Mallett's neck after the quarterback took issue with the defensive tackle making contact with him after jumping offside. Suh was flagged for unnecessary roughness, but claims he was the victim.
"Simple as this," Suh said, according to Chris Perkins of the South Florida Sun-Sentinel. "He came at me and tried to attack me, and I'm protecting myself."

Does Suh wish he'd approach the situation differently in hindsight?
"I'm never going to regret protecting myself," he said.
While Suh has a reputation as a player willing to walk the line between physical and dirty, he isn't planning on changing anytime soon.
"I think guys just want to go out there and play and compete at the end of the day," Suh said. "For me I'm going to continue playing and going as hard as I can, trying to make plays whatever the score is.
"I'm going to be out there and be physical, go out there and try to make plays, TFLs (tackles for losses), whatever it is. I'm not going to lay down. I've never been that guy, never will be that guy."
