Poll: Which team will be first to fire its head coach?

Brian Spurlock / USA TODAY Sports

While the NFL trade deadline is often largely uneventful, it's the first scheduled date on the league calendar for teams to begin turning in a new direction with significant roster changes.

Here's a look at three coaches who could be sent packing before their teams choose what direction that will be.

New York Giants, Ben McAdoo

The Giants entered the year with Super Bowl hopes but started 0-5 and won't be turning it around without wide receivers Odell Beckham Jr. and Brandon Marshall.

Cleveland Browns, Hue Jackson

The Browns remained in the relatively early stages of a full-scale rebuild entering the 2017 season, but they were expected to take the next steps with a revamped defense and a second-round pick spent on quarterback DeShone Kizer in the 2017 draft. They're 0-7.

Indianapolis Colts, Chuck Pagano

Sure, Pagano once again gets a little extra slack for the Colts' poor performance, due to the extended absence of franchise quarterback Andrew Luck, but the remaining members of the team have failed to show any improvement in other areas. A 27-0 loss to the Jacksonville Jaguars should be the perfect opportunity.
