Report: Steelers' Bryant to have bigger role vs. Bengals following trade request

Charles LeClaire / USA TODAY Sports

Martavis Bryant was reportedly growing unhappy with his usage, so the Pittsburgh Steelers will increase his role Sunday against the Cincinnati Bengals, according to Ian Rapoport of NFL Network.

Rapoport reported last Sunday that Bryant had requested a trade from the Steelers after hauling in just 17 catches for 231 yards and a touchdown through the first six weeks of the season. The receiver and other members of the organization have since refuted that report and the Steelers plan on making him an even bigger part of the game plan on Sunday.

Bryant has had to contend with rookie JuJu Smith-Schuster and third-year pro Eli Rogers for starts and snaps to this point in the season.
