Dolphins' Thomas: 'We deal with a lot over here'

The last two months have been exhausting for the Miami Dolphins.

Franchise quarterback Ryan Tannehill suffered a season-ending knee injury in September, prompting the team to sign broadcaster-to-be Jay Cutler. Hurricane Irma forced the postponement of their season opener, linebacker Lawrence Timmons disappeared without warning, and the team was blown out in a game in London, England.

Then, on Sunday night, video emerged of offensive line coach Chris Forrester snorting a white substance. The coach resigned the following morning.

"We deal with a lot over here," safety Michael Thomas said to Joe Schad of the Palm Beach Post Monday.

"So come Wednesday, it's just going to be about preparing for that win."

Thomas said the matter was addressed in a team meeting Monday. It was followed by a team release accepting Foerster's resignation and adding that the Dolphins will help him seek help.

"I don't know too much about it. It's crazy but I'm praying for him," Thomas said.

The Dolphins can only hope the rest of the week will be quiet before they face the Atlanta Falcons Sunday.
