Cutler still shaking off the rust in preseason debut

Jay Cutler didn't look totally out of place in his debut for the Miami Dolphins on Thursday, but a 15-yard completion to DeVante Parker was the only notable "highlight" he could produce.

Cutler went three-for-six in his first start. He found Jay Ajayi for an 11-yard check down pass on his first completion and got the ball to Jarvis Landry for a three-yard loss on a botched screen pass.

The 34-year-old's numbers don't tell the whole story, as he had two passes glance off receivers' hands, and he connected with Parker on a 31-yarder that was called back on a holding penalty.

It's hard to draw many conclusions from the brief stint, but Cutler's arm looks alive and the veteran may have found his best looking uniform to date.
