Fans in the Bay Area have been buying in - literally - to the idea of Marshawn Lynch beasting in Oakland Raiders colors.
The unretired running back had the top-selling NFL jersey in May, according to data released by NFLShop.com.
Lynch wasn't just the top-selling jersey in California - he dominated the entire western part of the country and some of the Midwest, including several states that have their own NFL team:

A few other interesting notes:
- Deshaun Watson's Clemon ties were enough for his Texans jersey to outsell every Panthers player (including Christian McCaffrey) in the Carolinas.
- James Conner beat out all Steelers and Eagles players in Pennsylvania.
- Adrian Peterson's Saints jersey sold more in Minnesota than any Vikings player.
- The idea that the Patriots are hated outside New England wasn't reflected in Tom Brady's jersey sales, which were strong in across the nation.
