Look: Roof on new Falcons stadium closes for 1st time

As construction on the Atlanta Falcons' new home hums along, a significant milestone was met recently.
Mercedes-Benz Stadium will feature a retractable roof, one with a unique design in which eight "petals" move in unison to open and close.
On June 3, CEO Steve Cannon shared photos on social media of the roof closing successfully for the first time.

The stadium is scheduled to open for the first time for a preseason game against the Arizona Cardinals on Aug. 26.
