Myles Garrett on Browns: 'We're going to win right away'
Once the excitement of being the first overall pick wears off, Myles Garrett will realize the enormity of the task at hand.
The explosive pass-rusher will be counted on to be the key piece of the Cleveland Browns' rebuild, a project that would seem monumental. Cleveland has won more than five games just once since 2007 and made the playoffs only once since 1999, but Garrett thinks it won't take long to turn things around.
"We're going to win right away," Garrett told Jeff Schudel of The News-Herald.
There is reason for some optimism, though maybe not quite that much. In addition to the Texas A&M product, the Browns added another pair of first-round selections Thursday night: versatile defender Jabrill Peppers and tight end David Njoku.
It's been a depressing few decades for Browns fans, so at the very least, they might appreciate Garrett's positive attitude.
