Quarterback Patrick Mahomes and the Houston Texans are looking more and more like a match.

After a report surfaced Monday that Texans head coach Bill O'Brien "absolutely loves" the Texas Tech quarterback prospect, Mahomes expressed confidence that the reporting is correct.

"I feel like a lot of coaches like me, but especially coach O'Brien," said Mahomes after his Monday visit to Houston, according to NFL.com's Chase Goodbread. "I think my personality and how real I am, those are things beyond what I can do on the field that he likes.

"It seemed like the way I was answering questions, I think he knew that I knew what was going on. You can tell when coaches have a confidence in you."

The Texans, who hold the 25th pick of the first round, may need to trade up if they want to add Mahomes. The quarterback has had pre-draft visits and private workouts with the Arizona Cardinals, Chicago Bears, New York Jets, and Cleveland Browns - all of whom pick before Houston.
