Free-agent running back Adrian Peterson took to Twitter and Instagram late Friday night to sound off about a report suggesting his high asking price is the reason he has yet to sign with a team:
Peterson shot down the notion that he wants to be paid at least $8 million in the first year of a new deal - a figure that would place him among the highest paid running backs in all of football.
The 32-year-old veteran also insisted his primary goal as a free agent is to sign with a Super Bowl contender, adding he's in no rush to find that team.
