Report: Broncos haven't discussed adding Romo

The Dallas Cowboys are expected to release former franchise quarterback Tony Romo on Thursday, and though the Denver Broncos were rumored to be monitoring the situation, ESPN's Josina Anderson reports the team hasn't held any internal discussions about bringing Romo aboard.

It's likely the Broncos are waiting for an official transaction to be made before tackling such an issue, as Anderson notes. As of now, Romo remains property of the Cowboys.

If the quarterback is allowed to test the market, Denver would first have to determine what Romo is looking for in a new club, Anderson adds.

The Broncos have Trevor Siemian and 2016 draft pick Paxton Lynch locked-in as quarterbacks. The addition of the soon-to-be 37-year-old Romo, however, could extend their opportunity to win another Super Bowl with their championship defense.
