Report: Dolphins to re-sign Andre Branch to 3-year, $27M contract

The Miami Dolphins are re-signing defensive end Andre Branch to a three-year deal worth $27 million, a source told NFL Network's Ian Rapoport.

Branch, who spent the first four years of his career with the Jacksonville Jaguars, cashes in after playing at a high level on the one-year contract he landed in Miami last spring.

Tallying 5.5 sacks while starting 11 of 16 appearances made him a priority to re-sign heading into the offseason, and he'll now remain a key cog in the defensive line rotation for several years to come.

Branch will tentatively be penciled in as a first-team defensive end opposite Cameron Wake on a talented Miami defensive front.
