Report: Patriots unlikely to pursue Adrian Peterson

You can add the New England Patriots to the growing list of teams not expected to pursue Adrian Peterson.

Pro Football Talk's Mike Florio cites a source with knowledge of the situation as saying the Patriots have yet to discuss signing Peterson and probably won't engage in such a discussion.

Earlier Wednesday, both the Seattle Seahawks and Oakland Raiders (two teams Peterson reportedly wants to play for) seemingly took themselves out of the running.

It's becoming very clear that Peterson doesn't have nearly as many suitors as he expected when the Minnesota Vikings announced they would let him walk.

It's possible his best course of action will be to re-sign with the Vikings - probably for less money that he believes he's worth.
