Gov. Chris Christie calls Eagles fans 'angry, awful people'
New Jersey governor and known Dallas Cowboys fan Chris Christie doesn't govern in Pennsylvania and evidently doesn't plan on needing any future votes there.
While co-hosting a radio show on WFAN in New York on Wednesday, Christie held nothing back when discussing the impression he's received from Philadelphia Eagles fans.
"I understand why people are interested if you are a public figure, as to who you root for," Christie said. "They're interested. But the hostility, I will tell you that I take for being a Cowboys fan - and this is what I say to Giants fans all the time, and Eagles fans.
"Now Eagles fans I understand it from a little more because the Eagles do suck and they've sucked for a long time. And their fans are generally angry, awful people."
Christie has previously expressed his poor relationship with Eagles fans after he attended an Eagles-Cowboys game from Jerry Jones' private box in Philadelphia, stating fans yelled "unspeakable things at me."
