Cowboys staff to coach Pro Bowl
Dallas Cowboys coaches will be on the sidelines for one last game before calling it a year.
Shortly after the club's divisional-round playoff loss to the Green Bay Packers, the NFL confirmed that Jason Garrett and the rest of his staff will coach one of the two teams in this year's Pro Bowl, according to Charean Williams of The Fort Worth Star-Telegram.
It's not the way the Cowboys wanted their season to end, but the coaches heading to the Pro Bowl is certainly a deserving nod to the success Dallas enjoyed throughout the year.
Garrett will be a Coach of the Year candidate after leading the Cowboys to both an NFC East title and the conference's No. 1 playoff seed. The 13-3 regular-season record stands as a nine-win improvement over their 4-12 finish in 2015.
