Prescott jokes his late mom would've criticized his 4 INTs
Dak Prescott has put together arguably the greatest season a rookie quarterback has ever had, but apparently his late mother would still have been able to find fault with it.
In an interview on CBS DFW, the Dallas Cowboys quarterback was asked how his mother, who died of colon cancer in 2013, would have critiqued his first season in the NFL.
"Four interceptions," Prescott replied, according to Bleacher Report's Zac Wassink. "She didn't do well with interceptions.
"I'd come home from practice and tell her I threw an interception at practice, and she'd say 'Why are we practicing that?'"
His mother, Peggy, apparently drilled him about turnovers to such a degree that Prescott rolls the ball to a defensive teammate during practice to avoid "creating bad habits."
Prescott is the second quarterback in NFL history, along with Tom Brady, to pass for more than 3,500 yards and fewer than five interceptions in a season.
