Jerry Jones admits to fueling Cowboys' QB controversy

Many football critics believe Jerry Jones doesn't always know when to keep his mouth shut.

But according to the Dallas Cowboys owner and general manager, he knows exactly what he's doing.

Jones has been keeping the door open for Tony Romo to potentially relieve Dak Prescott in some capacity this season. While some have speculated that this could be damaging to the rookie quarterback's development and confidence, Jones says his young star can with withstand the pressure.

He also believes the added drama is good for his team.

"That's one of the things that makes sports interesting," Jones told the Wall Street Journal's Jason Gay, according to Dallas Morning News. "I do feed that."

Jones admits his "meddling" could possibly affect the chances of his team getting a win every week, but says he's alright with that as long as his team stays in the spotlight.

"I've developed a healthy understand of losing," Jones said. "We are inviting eyeballs everywhere."
