Sherman rips Newton for bad karma
Seattle Seahawks cornerback Richard Sherman never forgets a slight, directing his ire towards Carolina Panthers quarterback Cam Newton on Wednesday.
Newton threw a Seahawks fan's "12" flag away after the Panthers defeated the Seahawks 31-24 in the divisional round. The flag represents the Seahawks' "12th man", an emblem of the team's raucous fan support.
Sherman was quick to blast Newton and the Panthers, as the reigning NFC Champions are struggling, posting a 4-7 record to date.
"I guess karma gets you. Doesn't look like they are going to the playoffs this year," Sherman said to Bob Condotta of The Seattle Times.
The Panthers trail the Atlanta Falcons by three games for the NFC South lead, sitting dead last in the division. With five games remaining, Sherman's prediction will likely come to fruition.
