Oakland Raiders quarterback Derek Carr suffered a gruesome injury to the pinky finger on his throwing hand in Sunday's game, and, according to his brother David, Carr dislocated the finger in two places, reports Ian Rapoport of NFL Network.

The good news is there appears to be no breaks in the finger, Rapoport adds.

Carr left the game momentarily, had the finger put back in place, and returned with a glove on his hand to lead the Raiders to a 35-32 victory over the Carolina Panthers.

Carr is not expected to require surgery on the digit or miss any time. It's a positive development for the Raiders who currently share the best record in the AFC at 9-2 with five games left to play in the regular season.
