Pittsburgh Steelers linebacker Lawrence Timmons was taken to hospital for further evaluation of a leg injury suffered in Sunday's matchup with the Philadelphia Eagles.
The team announced he wouldn't return to the game and his shin was being looked at.
Timmons was able to jog off the field and into the locker room before leaving the stadium.
He'd tallied 15 tackles in two games coming into Sunday.
The 30-year-old will become a free agent after the season.
