New England Patriots tight end Rob Gronkowski is officially active for Thursday's game against the Houston Texans.
Owner Robert Kraft alluded to Gronkowski's possible inclusion earlier Thursday, so it's no surprise the Patriots' top target is returning to the lineup.
With Martellus Bennett now in the mix at tight end, it's unknown how many snaps Gronk will see against Houston, but it's good news for rookie quarterback Jacoby Brissett, who's expected to make his first NFL start.
At 2-0, the Patriots can afford to ease their All-Pro tight end back into the mix even though Tom Brady will not return until Week 5.
