The Los Angeles Rams have agreed to a contract extension with defensive tackle Michael Brockers, reports Jim Thomas of the St. Louis Post-Dispatch.
In a partially conflicting report, NFL Network's Mike Garafolo says the deal has not yet been finalized, but is expected to be completed soon.
Terms of the deal have not yet been reported.
Brockers is in his fifth season with the Rams and was set to be among the top names on the defensive free-agent market this spring if he went unsigned.
The 25-year-old has started every game over the past four seasons, including his team's embarrassing Monday night opener against the San Francisco 49ers. The former 14th overall pick has amassed 14.5 sacks in his career.
