Antwon Blake changes name to Valentino

Say goodbye to Tennessee Titans cornerback Antwon Blake.

Say hello to Titans cornerback Valentino Blake.

The veteran has decided to start going by his middle name, according to Jim Wyatt of the Titans' official website.

"I wanted to make more of a formal switch, and that’s what I really prefer to be called," Blake said. "Overall, I like Valentino more. I’ve been wanting to do it, and I figure a new team, a fresh start, so there’s no time like the present."

Blake signed a one-year deal with the Titans in March. He endured a shaky preseason, but managed to make the Titans' final roster. Perhaps now that he's playing under his preferred name, his production will improve.

Blake already has "Valentino" tattooed on his back.
