Bryan Stork appears set to continue his playing career after briefly weighing the possibility of retirement.
The Washington Redskins center, acquired Wednesday in a trade with the New England Patriots, is expected to report to the team facilities this weekend, a source told Ian Rapoport of NFL Network.
News of the trade surfaced just hours after it was reported that Stork was being released by the Patriots, so the added retirement talk made for an eventful few hours.
Washington now adds some much-needed depth and competition. New England, meanwhile, has the opportunity to receive the conditional draft pick agreed upon in the deal.
Stork, a fourth-round pick in 2014, started 17 games over his two seasons in a Patriots uniform.
