Chiefs' Tamba Hali: Nearing return to practice

Hali (knee) could return to practice as a limited participant this week, ESPN reports.

Analysis:

Hali missed the Chiefs' entire offseason program as well as training camp after undergoing offseason knee surgery. The end-goal has always been for the veteran to be healthy for the start of the regular season, and the team is being patient with his level of participation in order to accomplish that goal. As it stands, Hali remains on track to play in the Chiefs' Week 1 clash with the Chargers.
