In honor of former defensive end Will Smith, the New Orleans Saints will wear a helmet decal featuring his name and number throughout the 2016 season.
The patch can be first seen Saturday night when the Saints take on the Houston Texans in preseason action.
Smith was shot and killed on April 9 after a car crash in New Orleans.
The former first-round pick played for the Saints for nine seasons, racking up 457 tackles, 67.5 sacks, and 20 forced fumbles.
