NFL spokesman calls Mark Wahlberg a liar over Roger Goodell story
The NFL is denying that Roger Goodell ever called Mark Wahlberg.
Wahlberg recently said Goodell, and other unnamed owners, called him during the first season of HBO's "Ballers," pleading with the former leader of "The Funky Bunch" to keep NFL players off the show.
Natalie Ravitz, the NFL's senior vice president of communications, has been tweeting at anybody who will listen, saying the phone call never happened.
Love Marky Mark (good vibrations is a classic) but this call from @nflcommish never happened @Deadspin https://t.co/ukALTsGAOM

Mark Wahlberg, who once claimed he could've prevented the 9/11 attacks if he had been a passenger on one of the planes, is being called a liar by the NFL, an organization that persistently denied a link between concussions and traumatic brain injuries.
