It turns out Jacksonville Jaguars running back Denard Robinson wasn't totally in the clear when he was found asleep behind the wheel of his partially sunken car after crashing into a pond.
Upon further investigation, Robinson has been cited for careless driving, a civil traffic infraction, according to Action News Jax. His attorney has reportedly accepted the citation.
Robinson didn't face any penalties immediately after being found asleep with a passenger in his car in the early hours of July 3. The citation was made after Jacksonville Sheriff Mike Williams opened a review of the incident last week, which "has not been concluded."
The 25-year-old and his passenger had to be convinced of their location by the responding officer. Neither of them were injured, and police said Robinson wasn't intoxicated.
