Report: Dylan Thompson to sign with Rams
Jeremy Brevard / USA TODAY Sports
Former San Francisco 49ers quarterback Dylan Thompson is signing with the Los Angeles Rams, according to NFL Network's Ian Rapoport.
Thompson went undrafted in 2015 and was eventually promoted to the 49ers' practice squad in November. The 24-year-old was released by San Francisco on May 6.
Entering his new job with the Rams, Thompson is expected to compete for a backup role behind Jared Goff and Nick Foles. With Foles holding out on organized team activities, Thompson could soon rise through the depth chart.
