Miami Dolphins cornerback Ifo Ekpre-Olomu received full medical clearance to return to action, according to NFL Network's Rand Getlin.
Ekpre-Olomu took out an insurance policy that paid him $3 million. The former Oregon standout was selected in the seventh round by the Cleveland Browns, but was released by the team on April 2 before Miami signed him three days later.
One of the marquee collegiate cornerbacks, Ekpre-Olomu was projected to be a first-round pick before tearing his ACL in December 2014, and underwent two corrective surgeries to repair the ligament.
He'll likely challenge rookie Xavien Howard and 2015 fifth-round pick Tony Lippett for a spot in the Dolphins' rotation.
