The Tennessee Titans have hired the Carolina Panthers' assistant college scouting director Ryan Cowden as their new director of player personnel, sources told Joseph Person of The Charlotte Observer.
The director of player personnel position had been left vacant within the structure of the Titans' front office since former general manager Ruston Webster fired vice president of player personnel Lake Dawson in January 2015.
Cowden had been with the Panthers in various roles since 2000.
The Panthers' scouting department will also have another shake up, as college scout John Peterson is retiring after eight seasons with the franchise, notes Person.
