The Tampa Bay Buccaneers announced Monday that the team has released kicker Connor Barth.
It was only a matter of time before Barth was cut loose, as adding Roberto Aguayo in the second round of the 2016 draft made for a significant investment at the position.
Congrats to @_RobertoAguayo with @TBBuccaneers ..Hope you have a long career in #Tampa ! Hold it down man! @NFL @espn #respect 🙏🏻 #kickers

Barth was Tampa Bay's kicker for a four-year stretch from 2009-12, before returning to the club for 12 games in 2015.
He converted 23-of-28 field-goal attempts and all but one of his 26 extra-point tries last season.
