When Josh Norman signed with the Washington Redskins and joined the NFC East, it was inevitable that his rivalry with New York Giants receiver Odell Beckham Jr. would resurface.

Beckham declined to comment on Norman's division arrival in his first media session since the signing, but Giants quarterback Eli Manning and receiver Victor Cruz both believe Beckham learned from last season's incidents.

Norman, on the other hand, is brushing the rivalry aside and focusing on his new team.

"To be honest with you, I don't even care too much about that matchup," Norman told ESPN Radio. "I care about bettering myself as a group, as a team, as a group of men who can do something special here and try and elevate my game to try and be in the conversation of all the old-time guys. The great cornerbacks who played the game."

Norman acknowledges that the two will face off multiple times in coming seasons, but he's preparing for all the talented receivers in his new division, although he left the door open for potential fireworks when Washington plays the Giants.

"Yeah we're going to a little game where we play each other twice a year and Dez and all them other guys," said Norman. "They've got some good receivers in this division, but at the end of the day, I'm going to be myself.

"I don't know what's going to happen right now, but we'll see when it comes to that day."

Norman and Beckham Jr. will see each other for the first time as division opponents in Week 3 of the 2016 NFL season.
