Dolphins will host Ezekiel Elliott on 2-day visit
The Miami Dolphins will host Ohio State running back Ezekiel Elliott for a visit on Monday and Tuesday, the prospect confirmed to ESPN's James Walker.
Should Miami select Elliott - widely considered to be the draft's premier running back - he'd fill a vacancy created when Lamar Miller signed with the Houston Texans in free agency.
"They do have a hole at running back, and they do have some good people around on offense," Elliott said Friday. "It seems like the running back is the spot that they're missing out on. So I think it would be a pretty good fit."
Elliott may be off the board by the time the Dolphins make their first-round selection, No. 13 overall. In March, Miami traded the eighth overall pick to the Philadelphia Eagles in exchange for the 13th pick, Byron Maxwell, and Kiko Alonso.
The 20-year-old Elliot finished eighth in Heisman Trophy voting this season, and steered Ohio State to a national championship in 2014.
