Texans select S K.J. Dillon in 5th round

The Houston Texans have selected safety K.J. Dillon out of West Virginia in the fifth round of the 2016 NFL Draft.
Dillon is a versatile player who can play in deep coverage and closer to the box. Some had him pegged as a possible Day 2 draft pick, so it's possible the Texans got excellent value by snagging him in the fifth round.

Strengths
- Has versatility to line up as a single-high safety, split out in coverage, or closer to the line of scrimmage.
- Instincts and ball skills allow for potential to make big plays in the passing game.
- Consistently able to find the ball in run support, shed his block, and make a play on the runner.
- Rarely finds himself out of position in either phase of the defensive game, due largely to instincts.
- Also has value as a return man on special teams.
Weaknesses
- Could stand to improve consistency in tackling technique.
- Will grab receivers and tight ends when beat off the line, leaving him susceptible to penalty issues.
