Kobe mummified by tensor bandages, ice packs

Given the mileage he's put on his NBA odometer, and all the injuries - great and small - he's suffered over the years, it's a minor miracle Kobe Bryant has managed to suit up for nearly 1,700 minutes this season.

But in the eighth-last game of his storied career Wednesday night, the 37-year-old was looking a little worse for wear. After having his shot blocked by old foe Dwyane Wade, Bryant hit the bench for a first-quarter breather. You'd scarcely know it was him, obscured as he was by the layers of bandages, towels, and ice packs adorning his battered body.

He looked like a cross between the Michelin Man and a 90s-era rollerblader.

Bryant was ruled out for the second half with "general soreness."

Which might be a good nickname for him at this point.
