Dillashaw banned from Alpha Male gym by Faber

When T.J. Dillashaw made the decision to change training camps, he'd planned on continuing to visit his old stomping grounds whenever he was back on the West Coast. That plan, however, is now no longer an option.

On a UFC Fight Night 81 conference call, Dillashaw expressed an interest in training at both his former camp Alpha Male in California and his new full-time camp at Team Elevation in Colorado. Dillashaw discovered that this routine wouldn't fly with Alpha Male founder Urijah Faber.

"I've actually got a lot of my teammates training out here (in Colorado) with me. Joseph Benavidez is with me right now. Lance Palmer has been coming out," Dillashaw said, according to Tristen Critchfield of Sherdog.com. "I'm still training with a lot of the guys. It's just not Ultimate Fitness (Faber's gym); Urijah put a stop to that."

The relationship between Dillashaw and Faber deteriorated over the past year, with Dillashaw claiming he regularly got the better of Faber when they sparred, and Faber accusing Dillashaw of being a reckless training partner.

Suffice to say, Dillashaw's trips back to California will be mostly recreational from now on.

"My plan was to do most of my camp in Colorado and be back in Sacramento here and there and be able to cross train. I feel like I've built good relationships with guys out there and teammates," Dillashaw said. "My plan was to go back and forth, but that's not the case anymore. I have to be full time out here.

"I've got family and California is home too; I'll always be back and forth."
