Although it's rare for kickers to declare early, Seminoles head coach Jimbo Fisher has high praise for Aguayo.
"I’m very happy for Roberto and his family," Fisher said. "He was phenomenal for us here at Florida State. He’s arguably one of the best kickers not only in Florida State history, but in NCAA history. I wish him nothing but the best. He was a great player, but also a great leader for our team and a great ambassador for our university. We’re very excited for him and we will look forward to watching him compete in the NFL for years to come."
Aguayo was one of the top kickers in the country in each of his three seasons with the Seminoles, converting 88.5 percent of attempts on top of finishing 198-for-198 on extra points.
