DFS: Sunday's NHL Injury Report

Candice Ward / USA TODAY Sports

Here's a look at the injury situation involving teams in action on Sunday:

Calgary Flames

The Flames' Micheal Ferland had been skating with the team's second-line and represents the biggest injury news in what amounts to a fairly healthy slate. The left winger suffered a lower-body injury Friday night against Detroit and figures to miss some time. Calgary has called up Derek Grant from AHL Stockton Heat in the meantime; Grant had tallied three goals in three games for the farm team.

D-man T.J. Brodie remains out to start the season with a hand injury is still considered week-to-week.

New York Rangers

The Rangers rode a wave of good injury luck through their first nine games for a record of 5-2-2. At this point, their lone injured skater is forward Viktor Stalberg.

The forward had some fringe appeal, having totalled a goal and three assists in eight games this season but a brutal shoulder to the jaw in Saturday's game should keep the Swede on the shelf for at least a couple of days.

Los Angeles Kings

Kings' blueliner Matt Greene was placed on the injured reserve list with an upper body injury. His absence will affect L.A.'s goalkeepers - now without one of their better penalty-kill men - but Greene only had deep sleeper potential in DFS as he has never been a scoring threat in his career.

Edmonton Oilers

Oilers' top-six forward Jordan Eberle remains out with a preseason shoulder injury with no return imminent.

Defensemen Griffin Reinhart is sidelined with an undisclosed injury but with several solid value picks among Edmonton's blueliners - such as Andrej Sekera, Oscar Klefbom and Justin Schultz - there would be little reason to pick the Vancouver native for your lineup anyways.

In the Clear

When the Wild visit Winnipeg, neither team will have to deal with lingering injury concerns to their core players - and neither will DFS players. Their lineups have earned a clean bill of health.
