Heung-Min Son, Ryan Mason, Nabil Bentaleb out for Liverpool visit
Tottenham has confirmed it will be without Heung-Min Son, Nabil Bentaleb, and Ryan Mason for Saturday's match against Liverpool.
Bentaleb has not featured since August as he continues to work his way back from an ankle ligament injury, while Son and Mason are struggling with respective foot and knee problems.
Twenty-two-year-old Alex Pritchard is also a long-term absentee after he recently underwent surgery on his right ankle.
With Eric Dier unavailable through suspension, manager Mauricio Pochettino faces a dilemma in who to pair with Dele Alli in holding midfield. Bringing Moussa Dembele in as a replacement for Dier could mean a slight change in system for Spurs, with the Belgian being of a more attacking mindset.
Alli shared his delight to the club website in making his debut for England over the international break, and is now excited to face the threat that Jurgen Klopp's Merseyside outfit poses this weekend.
"Now we've got Liverpool at home and I'm really looking forward to it. Obviously they're a good team, they've got a new manager in so they'll all be up for it and they've got a lot of young players like us," the 19-year-old said.
"On their day they can beat anyone but so can we so we'll just focus on ourselves, try to play as well as we can and hopefully we'll do well. I think it will be a good test."
