Notre Dame's defense, C.J. Prosise dominate in win over Georgia Tech
Despite a late push by Georgia Tech, Notre Dame was dominant in a 30-22 win on Saturday. The Fighting Irish defense was outstanding, holding the Yellow Jackets to 337 total yards. Georgia Tech gained 216 yards on the ground, its lowest total this season, having averaged 457.5 rushing yards in the team's first two games.
In his first start, Notre Dame quarterback DeShone Kizer looked comfortable, finishing 21-for-30 with 242 yards, one touchdown, and one interception. With the win, Notre Dame moves to 3-0, while Georgia Tech falls to 2-1.

- Notre Dame running back C.J. Prosise had 198 yards and three touchdowns on 22 carries.
- Georgia Tech quarterback Justin Thomas was 8-for-24 with 121 yards, and two touchdowns.
- Fighting Irish star receiver Will Fuller had six catches for 131 yards and a touchdown.
- Kizer's interception was Notre Dame's first turnover since Nov. 29, 2014 against USC. The Irish also lost a fumble.
- Notre Dame lost another starter to injury, as defensive back Drue Tranquill injured his knee late in the second quarter while celebrating.
- Running back Patrick Skov scored all three Georgia Tech touchdowns, one rushing and two receiving.
- Notre Dame is now 28-6-1 all time against Georgia Tech.
