Analysis:

Lynch, who was scheduled to make $7 million for 2015, will now make $12 million. Contrary to expectations, though, the Seahawks did not receive any salary cap relief, as his number for next season is still $8.5 million. Lynch's agent, Doug Hendrickson, said Friday that Lynch intends to play out the contract, which would pay him base salaries of $9 million in 2016 and $7 million in 2017. It likely will never come to that, though, as the salary cap number in 2016 would be $11.5 million for a 30-year-old running back.
